Snapshot

A quick snapshot of my focus, background, and where I’m heading.

Focus

Recording and Mixing Bands

My main focus is recording and mixing bands, especially working with live instruments. I’m interested in capturing performances in a way that feels natural and energetic, rather than overly processed, while still achieving a clean and professional sound.

Background

Musician (Bass, Guitar and Piano) & Songwriter

I started out as a musician, originally playing piano before moving onto bass and guitar. Over time I also started writing my own music, which has helped me understand how songs are put together from the ground up. That background gives me a better sense of how musicians think and perform, which is useful when I’m working in recording sessions.

Current

Independent recording sessions

At the moment, most of my work comes from independent recording sessions. This includes setting up equipment, recording parts, and building experience through practical work both inside and outside of my course

Goal

Professional studio engineer with a full client base

My goal is to work as a professional studio engineer, building up a solid client base over time. I want to work with a range of artists and bands, and develop a reputation for producing high-quality recordings.
